Muzo Ikizere Rwanda

Ikizere means “confidence” and is also the name of this group of producers, who are all widowed women or single mothers. They cultivate and selectively pick their Red Bourbon coffee but they also sort and process it, de-pulping the coffee by hand. Their confidence is well-earned as all of the extra effort is apparent in the cup. Beautifully clean apricot is accompanied by violets and a hint of black tea.
